Consulting Engineers (NKF Volga group) has been providing engineering consulting for the water industry – firstly physical measurements and computer modeling of water flows for large water users (hydro, thermal and nuclear generation). We are partner of the Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI) using MIKE DHI Software Family. Volga implements water flow measurement systems based on the acoustic multi-path Transit-Time and Doppler methods in large size conduits - both closed and open. For hydro power stations, the application of this method is mostly found in turbine’s penstocks and derivation channels.
