Agastia Farm is a unique ecologically clean and high-tech fish farm based on recirculation aquaculture technology (RAS) in Siberia, Russia (Novosibirsk). The system operates as an indoor closed system using pure artesian spring water source. The fish farm is designed to produce 400 tons of African "marble"​ catfish (Clarias gariepinus) per year. Our significant advantages are the creation of unique conditions for purification and renewal of water in the required volumes, as well as in the organisation of our own production line of quality fish feeds from natural ingredients. This allows us to constantly maintain the optimal and healthy habitat of our fish, thus ensuring the conditions for cultivation of the catfish from the spawning process to fish of commercial size and to receive an ecologically clean delicacy product. RAS technology makes it possible to produce fish in an environmentally friendly way. The limited consumption of new water, and thereby limited amount of discharge water, makes it possible to clean off the major part of the waste from fish production. With the help of a multi-stage filtration system, which includes ultraviolet water disinfection plants, mechanical filters, bio-filters, oxygenators and pump units, 200 cubic meters of water are cleaned and refreshed every hour (i.e. 4.8 million litres of water per day). The software, in turn, allows for thorough monitoring and optimisation of all production parameters.
